Media Literacy

Even though Armenia has got almost full coverage with an Internet, the purposeful and literate usage of alternative digital media and internet remains low. In the era of new technologies when in contrast to traditional mass media, the users of modern internet can send and receive, be recipients and creators of information, media literacy is still an issue in Armenia. Through media products, media literacy workshops and seminars, APY tries to expand this potential and use it for the educational purposes. We believe that Internet and alternative digital media can become a powerful tool in facilitating active participation and democracy in Armenia.
